Kularoos Plymouth Raiders continued their strong start to the season thanks to an 82-73 victory over BBL newcomers, the Everton Tigers at the Plymouth Pavilions on Saturday evening.

The opening stages saw both teams trading baskets, and it was the home side who gained the advantage with an 11-0 burst in the second period to take the score out to 29-23, and held the lead at 32-30 going in at the half.

The second half saw both sides continue to trade baskets, but the Raiders continued to extend their lead, and were able to hold on for the victory despite a valiant effort from the Tigers.

DeAntoine Beasley (pictured) led the Raiders scoring with 25 points, while the Tigers scoring was led by Tony Robertson, also with 25 points.
