Marshall MK Lions kept up their recent run of form to make it five wins in a row with a 102-71 home result against Team Birmingham Panthers.

The Lions have strengthened their grip on second place in the table while Panthers missed out on the chance to climb into a play-off position.

An early 11-3 run by Lions helped the home side to 20-15 first quarter lead but it was in the second period when the match was won. A run of 11-0 turned a 25-20 lead into a 36-20 one and there was no way back for Panthers after that.

Further bursts of 10-0 in the third and 12-0 to start the final stanza by the Lions prevented the Panthers from gaining any momentum at all.

Michael New led the way for Lions with 22, while LaTaryl Williams hit 18 for Panthers.
