SAMG Verve Scottish Rocks had to work hard for the 98-82 victory in the BBL Championship over the Worcester Wolves at the Braehead Arena on Sunday evening.

The Wolves started the stronger, and lead 15-12 midway through the opening period. The visitors continued to hold the advantage into the second period at 21-29, but a 14-7 Rocks tear bought the home side to within a point at 35-36.

The Wolves held on to lead 44-47 going in at the half.

The second half saw the Rocks begin to take control over their visitors, and a 17-4 tear to open the third period took the score out to 61-51. The home side continued to dominate their visitors in the final quarter, and enjoyed their biggest lead of the game at 85-64 coming off the back of an 11-2 start to the final period.

The Wolves valiantly tried to come back towards the end of the game, but could get no closer than fourteen points at 95-81 as the Rocks ran out the eventual winners.

Moritz Wohlers led the Rocks scoring with 22 points, but it was James Life who led all scorers with 24 points for the Wolves.
